BEEP is comprised of 7 components as follows:
1. Entrepreneurship training
Helps to identify challenges in the business planning process for each club member. Also helps to facilitate specific technical assistance in their respective business plan development.
2. Peer to peer support
Enables young people to share ideas and find solutions to their businesses
3. Mentorship and coaching
It provides a platform for BEEP club members to receive business information and assistance from successful and experienced business owners, The Youth Banner coaching team and university level business students. BEEP club members are able to obtain guidance as well as tap from a mentor’s vast experience
4. Community service
It provides an opportunity for club members to plough back to the community through career and entrepreneurship days for schools and other organized groups.
5. Linkage to markets and finances
The Youth Banner and its partners help youths gain access to markets and finances
6. Exposure to new networks and opportunities
The Youth Banner links BEEP members to business and social networks that enhance their business goals
7. ICT training
Offers training in basic IT skills.
This program is currently funded by Siemens Stiftung in Kisumu, Homabay and Kwale Counties.
